Energy 101 Ltd is a specialist Engineering, Management and Consultancy business, setup by its founders Gary Seward and Nigel Jones with a collective experience of nearly 40 years in the UK energy market, offering a wealth of knowledge and experience in the generation and power distribution sectors.
With well established relationships in the domestic market, Energy 101 seeks to bring together key stakeholders for a collaborative approach to benefit communities and businesses throughout regions of the UK.

Senior Partner
Nigel Jones
Nigel is an experienced Director with extensive knowledge of the UK wide electrical infrastructure, spanning 12 years, ranging from Low Voltage to Extra High Voltage applications.
With past experience of supplying market leading High Voltage equipment and fully engineered solutions to a multitude of clients, ranging from DNO’s to private end customers and other utility providers. Nigel has spent the last decade supporting large scale renewable and energy storage systems across the UK, for BtM and FtM applications. Nigel is a keen advocate for decarbonising our local networks that are fast becoming over stretched due to the increase in electrical dependencies. With technological advancements and smart system integrations there is a number of solutions available to support our transition to a cleaner future.

Gary Seward
Gary is a highly qualified and experienced Chartered Electrical Engineer with over 25-years of experience in the electrical distribution industry, having worked in a number of key markets including MoD, Petrochemical and the Utilities sector.
Gary has had the good fortune to work on a multitude of complex project and initiatives during his time in the electrical distribution sector. A career which started being hands-on in the field of electrical maintenance culminated in being Engineering Authority and key decision maker for the largest private electrical distribution network in the South of England. Gary is passionate about innovation and new technologies which was one the key drivers for him when opting to create the Energy 101 Ltd business. He also enjoys a challenge whilst being driven to ensure a quality output to the highest possible standards with a keen eye on delivery & customer focus. Gary prides himself on being a personable and friendly individual that inspires confidence in both clients and colleagues alike by developing constructive working relationships with all personnel regardless of position or background.
