Energy 101 are pleased to announce that we have now received formal planning approval from Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council for a major EV charging hub and Battery Energy Storage Scheme [BESS] in South Wales.

In summarising the benefits of the new scheme our Senior Partner, Nigel Jones commented… “The importance of having a significant EV charging hub in EBBW Vale provides much needed capabilities for the local area. The closest facilities of a similar electrical capacity are a considerable distance away and this makes the use of Electric Vehicles far more challenging than in other areas of the country. The creation of this new facility will greatly assist in the regional transition to EV, whilst decarbonising the local grid infrastructure and Energy101 are proud to be at the forefront of this transition.
