During Q3 & Q4 of 2021 Energy 101 had the fantastic opportunity to work in collaboration with one of the UK’s market-leading EPC contractors, Smith Brothers Contracting. The scope of works in this location involved bringing to completion the creation of a new 20MW Gas Peaking Facility. The scheme itself comprised ten-in-number 2MW Edina generators, private & DNO distribution switchgear facilities and associated other works.  

 Given the sensitive and highly regulated environment in which this scheme resides effective stakeholder management was a key component to successful delivery. Further obstacles were faced regards challenging ground conditions and the availability of useable operational space.
